When I was looking on Reddit for the best cash back credit cards to use for AirBnB purchases, I found a couple 3% like the Bank of America Custom Cash Rewards or Amex Green.

Another person suggested buying AirBnB gift cards with an Amazon Prime card which gives 5% back. That definitely was more appealing except I don’t have an Amazon Prime subscription so it would be either 3% back with the Amazon card or a little less than 5% back with the “annual fee” of the subscription in mind.

Another person recommended Snaplii and it’s been the best cash back-ish system that I’ve found for my larger AirBnB payments.

For example, if I use my Apple credit card to pay for a giftcard through Apple Pay, I get the normal 2% cashback through Apple. Snaplii offers 1.5% cashback for AirBnB giftcards if I pay using Apple Pay or 3.5% using the cashback I already have in the Snaplii app.

So basically what I do is when I go to make a purchase on AirBnB, I buy a giftcard or two that equal the total purchase. The activation info is available immediately in the Snaplii app and I'll input that into the AirBnB site.

I always book my AirBnB's through the Delta link to get miles on top of card points. Once you're ready to book, select pay with giftcard and boom, done. easy as pie.

The cash back amounts vary depending on the store, for instance Uber right now has a 5% cashback when paying through Apple Pay or 7% using Snaplii cash.
