The financial systems and tools that work best for me while on the road

You’ll hear it from everyone but it’s true, this is a great card. Schwab reimburses any and all ATM fees at the end of each month. I never look at ATM fees because of this card.. didn’t realize once at an Airport in Brazil that the fee was $70 USD, reimbursed with no issue. Great card for late night withdrawals at the casino 😛

3% cash back on everything and no foreign transaction fees. $50 annual fee for Robinhood Gold or $5 / mo but it comes with a decent APY savings account, 3% IRA match, and $1k margins. Move the cash back into investments and I’m happy with it.

I’ve used Wealthfront for a while and I love their app. Can bucket different savings accounts (currently 3.5% APY, or 4.25% for 3 months if you use the referral link below), have fractional shares, and can link other accounts like your checkings, savings, 401k, credit cards etc to get a total net worth view.

I’ve thought about the Venture X but I’m not sure the annual fee makes sense for me at the moment. I’m happy with the Venture card; good sign up bonus, $95 annual fee, no foreign transaction fees, 2x miles on everything. Transferring points to partners gets you the best value but if you aren’t able to transfer for a specific airline or hotel, you can always redeem points back for travel purchases to cover any cost.

Great back up debit card. You get two no fee withdrawals a month. Can transfer or pay people easily through the app; have sent money to people’s PIX in Brazil, accounts in India, has worked everywhere with no problems.

For crypto, I use Kraken. Move your coins into a hard wallet whenever possible but for selling, buying, trading, I love this app. Kraken pro has no fees and it's very easy to use.

Right now they are doing a promo, you receive $125 in Bitcoin if you sign up. Usually it is $75 for referrals. Code gy2bgrjg or the link below

I’ve written more about this app here; I use this to buy gift cards for my larger AirBnB stays. You get a certain cash back amount through cards or Apple pay. I’ll use my Apple card which gets 2% cash back with Apple Pay, and then 1.5% or more added on by purchasing a gift card through Snaplii. It’s super easy and just adds a little bit more cash back than any of my current card set ups.

If you want to check it out, there’s a $10 welcome offer if you use my promo code: 322B47

I've always been a simple spreadsheet person to budget but CoPilot is the best app I've found to track and organize all my expenses. Great graphs, layout, looks great but most importantly super functional and easy to use.

Use referral code ATH4X8 to get 2 months free; try it out, see if it works for your budgeting style.

Let me know if there's anything you use and love! Always looking for new apps or tools to try.
